The Best Laid Plans…

It had to happen. No really, it did.

I wrote and published this,  a full explanation of my internet-quietness this year (in short: pregnant, baby due in two weeks) and the VERY NEXT MORNING, the baby decides it’s finished baking and is coming NOW. So much for a few more sleep-ins! Naturally we had plans, a fridge full of food to entertain some friends for lunch and no bag packed for the hospital – but you know what they say about the best laid plans…

Baby Peter surprised us on the 16th September, thirteen days early, but I forgive him completely because he’s the best thing that’s ever happened. Ever. I may or may not be biased.

A million thanks to the brides who patiently waited while I went onto radio silence for a couple of days… though I think I was more surprised than they were – people have been saying that I looked ‘ready to pop’ for most of this month.

Normal service resumes now – well, it will if I can just stop staring at him in all his cuteness long enough to get anything done.

E xx
